With the experience I made in the telecommunication area up to then I compiled an RBBS (Remote Bulletin Board System) for Jona Böttcher in 1987/88: initially based upon ROS1 (Remote Operating System) followed by PICS (Pascal Integrated Communications System). It was written in TURBO PACAL containing plenty of source files. Compiling them took about one hour - hardly believable from today's view.
